Last Week
It has been extremely crazy in Madrid with all the protest because of the elections. I guess I am just trying to absorb as much experience as possible. I have to say, Madrid is starting to get interesting only when I am about to leave. This is just so unfair. I am just glad that I am able to use my camera more often now since the sun is up, but it also made me realize that I should have bought those lenses and a new body before coming to Madrid. I am somehow limited by my camera.
Class of 2011 will be graduating in 5 days. Time flies. It was like only yesterday that I got to know some of you and before I know it, all of you are graduating.
Finals are round the corner for me. I really do hope I do well. Since, I am almost there, I will definitely give my best. It is definitely going to be a better sweet experience leaving Madrid. However, I will be back at Malaga in the mid of June where according to my host mom, the temperature will be around 40 degrees Celsius. Such a nice way to get that tan that I have always dreamed of.
It is also believed that today will be the end of the world. I do not know which religion or belief it is based on, but if that is true, I would be kind of bump because I would not be able to spend the last moments of my life with people that I care for. However, if this prediction is true and today is the end of the world, I just want all of you to know that I have truly enjoyed your company and I hope it is the same like wise.
I will see all of you soon..

It is time to MOVE ON
I remember when I was much younger; I aspire to be a professional tennis player because I spent about 4 hours a day 4 times a week playing tennis. During that time, I got pretty serious with tennis that I wanted to represent my state but in a turn of an event, I find myself sitting in front of a group of audiences playing the saxophone. With a couple of friends, we reminded one another the goal of being the saxophonists in Malaysia. We played 3 times a week averaging about 4 hours each time we met.
My tennis buddies: Nouras, Hasrin, Kabi (doubles partner), Wilkinson, Anand and Myself
However, as we grow older, I got accepter to a university 8 hours away from home, Kenny was studying Multimedia designing and Kwan Yee was just getting started as a sale rep with a pharmaceutical company. Even though all of us kept in contact and continue playing in the same band, this was the beginning where we would go our separate ways. I quit UMK after semester to apply to SUA because I realized that I could not just live my life aimless to the wimp and fancy of society. I realized that each one of us has a lifelong quest to fulfill. I cannot just live by each day knowing that I could have changed my situation.
Now, my friends from the class of 2011 will be graduating in less than 3 weeks. I am feeling kind of depress and sad. Do not get me wrong. I am happy for the class of 2011, but being your RA was such an amazing experience that I felt kind of a shame of myself for not wanting to be your class RA in the first place. The friends that I have made while getting to know each one of you slightly better really made me appreciate even more my education and stay at Soka. Your class has tried your very best to include me in every activity that you guys have organized. You are always so thoughtful. I am extremely disappointed knowing that I will not be able to attend your graduation or to celebrate the end to your wonderful experience at Soka but you can be sure of one thing, I will always treasure the friendship that we have.

As much as we would like things to remain the same, life is a constant flux. Each of us have a different path in life and as painful as it may seem, we might not cross path again but I find comfort in knowing that we at least did enjoyed each other’s company in the past. It is time to move on. Thank you for being a part of my life.

As a promise to the lady in red, I shall do a special shout out to the class of 2011. Congratulations on completing capstone. I know that it was really grueling for some of you, but you finally made it. Please enjoy your final days at SUA and I hope to see some of you pretty soon. New York here I come and Jolie, time to throw some amazing house parties at your place. *hint hint*
I was looking through the senior ball photos and really wished I was there to celebrate with each one of you. I miss you guys the class of 2011. I really feel like as though I am a part of your class. Those photos definitely made me sad at the same time happy. I am definitely going to cherish the moments that you have given me in SUA. Thank you and best of luck with your finals.

Famous People pt 2
The second famous person I met the following day is Bradley Cooper. He acted in the movie The Hangover, and played the character face man in the movie the A-Team. ISA was invited to join this program El hormiguero. It is a Spanish host interview famous singers and actors. Jackie Chan, Will Smith and Kylie Minogue were in previous episodes. Today they have invited Bradley Cooper as their guest for the talk show. We had to be in front of the station by 6.30pm. Around 6.45pm they lead us into this tunnel and we waited for another 10 minutes. I was exhausted from all the waiting and by the time they let us into the set I was drained out and just wanted to get done with the show and go back for dinner. We were not allowed to take photos and therefore, I do not have any photos of the event. We waited for another 15 minutes before Bradley came on to the show. While he was still in his dressing room, the camera crew were testing out their camera and giving the audience the chance to get use to being on tv. This is definitely not my first time on tv, so when one of the camera was recording me, I winked at the camera flirtatiously and blew kisses to the camera. Hahahaha… that made everybody in the audience laugh because they did not expect somebody to do such a thing on national telelvision.
Bradley finally came onto the set and the Spanish girls went while shouting “Guapo! Guapo! (Handsome! Handsome!)” hahaha they really gave me a whole new perspective of cat calling. I thought only guys do that, but I guess apparently the girls are even more aggressive than the guys. The funny thing about these talk shows is that while they were interviewing Bradley, the audiences were supposed to react to comments during the talk show. Most of the time is just clapping and cheering. I could sense that the crowd was excited but was exhausted and slightly lifeless. Everybody tried their best to have fun and cheered on. When the recording of the live talk show was over, the producers started playing music to capture some shots of the audience while having the DJ play some fun and catchy song. Nobody was really moving except me (the usual) and I know that I definitely stick out like a sore thumb because everybody was somewhat stiff except me who was moving my body and trying to enjoy music. The producer pointed at me and told me to stand up, waving his hands while calling me “Japones, Japones” I stood up and starting dancing as if I was in the club and I got everybody clap their hands and have fun together with me while dance to the music. By the end of the song, everybody was even more pumped up than when Bradley just walked in.
I am very sure that I made the entire recording much more interesting and fun. When I was done with the dancing, the producer thanked me over the microphone and asked everybody to give me a round of applause while still referring me as Japones. Hahahaha Leticia from ISA told him that I was not from Japan and that I was from Malaysia. It was extremely kind of him to apologize and asked the crowd once again to give me the Malaysian another round of applause. One of the people from the program stopped me and asked if whether do I know Spanish, I pointed to Leticia and said that she was my translator. Acting like a movie star… hahahaha She took Leticia’s number and said that if I am ever interested in attending some other program, they would be more than happy to give me an invitation. Wow.. that is definitely a compliment. A group of teenagers was so excited that they wanted to have a photo with me. I guess I am competing with the big dogs now like Bradley Cooper. Hahahahaha.. It was definitely a fun experience and it felt good to be in the center of attention once again on national television after a long break from Malaysian Idol.

Famous People pt1
Yesterday,
all my sorrows seem so far away,
and oh I believe in yesterday
An accordionist is playing the song that I just sang. This song brings back old memories of my brother, uncle and I when we would go for singing lessons together. While my uncle would try his very best to sing in tune, he would be so out of tune that my brother and I would giggle at the corner of the room. It must have been so embarrassing for him but he still brought us for singing lesson. I really miss my uncle. Over the years, we have grown apart. I guess it is because he has his own children now, and since we are all grown up I guess we have our own lives to lead. I do miss this uncle dearly. He has always been there for my mom and other aunts. Madrid does reignite the various fond memories as a child. I am not going to go on with my childhood story but I would to share with you the interesting people that I have met in Spain. The people that I have met are really famous.
On March 30, 2011, while walking to ISA office to collect the RAM for my laptop, I saw a huge crowd of people with a lot of policemen and the crowd was behind the blue police fence. As usual, hoping to capture some action, I joined the crowd and asked one of the man standing next to me what was going on. He spoke to me in Spanish but sadly, all I could understand was somebody name Carlos is going to visit Madrid. I further guessed a loud that it was King Juan Carlos, but the guy shook his head and sort of pointed to his ears and kept saying “muy feo, muy feo (very ugly, very ugly).” The lady in front of me turned back and told me Prince Charles from the UK will be arriving any minute now. What?!?! Did she said Prince Charles, Princess Diana’s ex-husband? This is going to be amazing but at the mean time I was contemplating whether should I run back to grab my DSLR or would my Panasonic point and shoot would be able to do the job. Alas, I made up my mind to stay in order not to miss Prince Charles because there could be a possibility that while I was back home to get my camera he could have arrived. I got a glimpse of the Prince and that was it. Nothing interesting but at least I could tell my kids that I have seen Prince Charles in person during my study abroad in Madrid.
